Description
A superb pair of Italian armchairs by Carlo de Carli, upholstered in a blue velvet fabric which complements the splayed space age ebonised metal and brass legs. Carlo de Carli incorporated details into his designs that suggested movement as shown in these particular chairs with the sweeping armrests and leg angles. The legs are ebonised and capped in bronze. This is accompanied with an ‘eye dancing’ multi tonal velvet selected and new upholstered. Carlo de Carli (1910-1999) was a furniture designer of mostly chairs, desks and tables. In 1954, he was awarded Italy’s highest design accolade for his Model “683” chair. Carol de Carlo worked for many companies throughout his career including Tecno, Cassina and Gio Ponti. Very comfortable and in excellent condition.
